Creative Collisions

Kunstgewerbe Museum Dresden

2016

Creative Collisions in Kunstgewerbe Museum in Dresden is a result of a workshop led by Tomek and Gosia Rygalik with participants from Syria, Lybia, Germany, Austria and Poland. The chairs created during the workshop are personal manifestos of each of the participants comming from different cultural backgrounds. A long table designed by Studio Rygalik is at the heart of this exhibition. The piece reflects upon the table as a universal metaphor for getting together, getting in touch and sharing. It is a place where friendships are made – a perfect reason for the Friends of the State Art Collections to acquire this object for the Museum.
